FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

How do I schedule my training?

First thing you need to do is go to our online training calendar and see if your dates are available. If so then just fill out our evaluation form on this site and put your propsed dates. We will contact you to confirm your dates or arrange for a different session.

What level of experience do I need for canopy flight training?

We have programs for all levels of canopy piloting including first jump students. Most of our students have less than 100 skydives but we also teach advanced and competition swooping.

What level of experience do I need for ground launch training?

Unlike skydiving you need absolutely no "zero" experience. We have a ground launch program for students with no skydives at all! However, most of our program iteaches low time jumpers, advanced and experienced swoopers. If there is any question in your mind about your experiance level just fill out our online evaluation form on this site and let us get back with you.

What is the "Ultra camp"?

An Ultra camp is a combination of a ground launch camp and our canopy flight training. The training takes place one camp after the other and is the best training program we offer at the Canopy Piloting School. Students learn the basic fundamentals of "active piloting" and other essentials related to canopy piloting just like going to a wind tunnel for skydiving. After a session at the GLC we head over to the drop zone to continue our canopy flight training with more classes and hop & pops. If you are looking to get the most training value for your money then the Ultra camp is for you.

What kind of gear do I need?

You don't need any gear! If you don't have your own skydiving or ground launching gear it can be rented. Our skydiving gear can be rented from the drop zone and the ground launch gear can be rented from us directly.
