DUANE HALL

Duane is a native of Orange Park, Florida where he attended school and competed in football and track and field. In 1984 he graduated and began a career in environmental management and completed a successful 12 year tenure within the industry.  

In 1996 Duane made his first skydive and found an instant attraction. While in the sport he began to fly high performance parachutes and put more emphasis into high performance flight. Soon there after Duane found his passion in high performance landings and close proximity flight. This type of high performance landing is most commonly known as Swooping.

 In 2004 Duane joined the PST (Pro Swooping Tour) to participate in and help promote swooping. He is also a WSA (World Swooping Association) Committee member. In addition he is an active member of the USPA (United States Parachute Association), USHGA (United States Hang Gliding Association) and WPST (World Parabatic Swoop Team).    

Duane is currently a test pilot for a new line of ultra high performance parachutes known as the Daedalus Project. He is a flight instructor at the world renowned GLC (Ground Launch Center) and an instructor here at the Canopy Piloting School.
