Welcome to the Canopy Piloting School. We created our first school back in 2000 and have expanded to multiple locations around the country. In 2005 we added Ground Launching at the Ground Launch Center to our flight training program.

No matter your current experience, whether you are a beginner or getting ready for your first swoop competition we can help. Coaching programs are available for individuals who are looking to excel past their current flying ability.
Our program includes but is not limited to: one on one coaching, basic skills classes, ultra camps, competition camps and ground launch training. Our instructors have the experience and ability to teach all facets of canopy piloting in the most efficient and safe way possible.
We have a new way to increase your canopy flight skills, it has been called the wind tunnel for canopy pilots.
The Ground Launch Center (GLC) can add a whole new dimension to your flight training. At the GLC pilots learn the fundamentals of "active piloting" where you spend more time learning flight techniques closer to the ground where it counts.

Jim created the original canopy piloting school and was the 1st US National Champion of Canopy Piloting, which he won with his own signature series parachute called the "JVX".
Jim was responsible for delivering the sport of canopy piloting (a.k.a swooping) to the international arena in 2003.
Jim was the producer of Team Extreme™ (the first factory swoop team), the Pro Swooping Tour™ and the Canopy Piloting Circuit™.
Jim is also the creator of the World Parachute Stunt Team™, the Ground Launch Center and the modern day Swoop Park™.
Jim's training techniques are revolutionary and he has trained many of the best canopy pilots in the world.
Jim has devloped training programs around key areas of canopy piloting development including "Powerband", "Performance drills" and "active piloting".
